Contact & Booking Inquiries

When you contact us via phone, email or WhatsApp, we collect your contact information (name, phone number, email) to respond to your inquiry and coordinate driving lessons. Legal basis: Contract performance and legitimate interest.

Hosting and database

Operation of this website

This website is operated through the platform of Lovable AB, Stockholm, Sweden. It is delivered via Cloudflare, for visitors from Switzerland usually through the Zurich data centre. In doing so, Cloudflare processes IP addresses as a technical intermediate step.

Database

The database is operated by Lovable and is located in a data centre in Ireland, within the EU. It stores operational data of the website only, that is the number and average of the Google reviews, the list of links and the guide articles. No personal data of visitors is stored in this database.

Registering for driver training

Registration runs through our onboarding form at onboarding.drivingschoolstefan.ch. It is operated on the same platform as this website, Lovable AB, Stockholm, Sweden, in a separate project. The data is held in a data centre in Ireland, within the EU.

We collect your name, address, contact details and information about your driving licence. We use this data solely to plan your training and to meet our legal obligations towards the road traffic office. There is no disclosure to third parties for advertising purposes.

VKU booking via our partner driving school

The VKU courses are run by Fahrschule Bern-Drive GmbH. On our VKU page you can load their booking system. Doing so transmits data to Fahrschule Bern-Drive GmbH and their providers, including Google Analytics, Google Ads and Facebook Pixel. The booking system is only loaded once you actively click on it.

Booking and payment are handled directly by Fahrschule Bern-Drive GmbH. We only receive the information that a booking was made through us.

How long we keep your data

While your training is running, we process your data for as long as you take driving lessons with us.

We keep invoices, payments and the related records for ten years. We are required to do so by law, and we cannot delete these documents during that period.

Entries in the learning app, that is the learning journal, learning progress and lesson records, are deleted no later than twelve months after you finish your training.

All other data is deleted after ten years at the latest.

You can request deletion of your data at any time. We then delete everything that is not covered by the statutory retention obligation, and tell you what remains for that reason.

WhatsApp Communication

We offer contact via WhatsApp for your convenience. By using WhatsApp, your data is processed by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Please note that WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption.

Learning app for learners

The learning app is available exclusively to learners of Driving School Stefan and requires a personal account. The app processes the following data: your name and contact details from registration, learning progress and quiz results, learning journal entries including the mood you record after a lesson, the lesson records written by your instructor, and the AI recommendations derived from them.

The sole purpose is your driver training. There is no advertising and no sale to third parties. Only you and your instructor have access.

Data is stored on servers in the European Union. To generate the AI recommendations, the relevant journal text is sent to a language model provider and processed there only to answer that single request, not to train models. Mood entries are voluntary; you may leave the field empty at any time.

You can request access, correction or deletion of your app data at any time. Entries in the learning app, that is the learning journal, learning progress and lesson records, are deleted no later than twelve months after you finish your training.
